Why conserve Water?

The below is a visual representation of climate effect on crop productivity. Reference: "Hughes, N, Lawson, K & Valle, H 2017, Farm performance and climate: Climate-adjusted productivity for broadacre cropping farms, Canberra, April. CC BY 3.0."

Climate effect on productivity

Majority of the areas are in 2-20% bracket decrease in crop productivity. If we dig deeper into the consequences of this data, it has greater advserse effects on our economy. The more direct impact it will have is on our food supply demand chain, a shortage in supply results in increase in prices - which is not good for any econcomy.
